Next Generation Windows Services - NGWS - .NET - DotNet - Longhorn

NGWS est le nom que l'on donnait au .NET Framework avant son lancement officiel.
Lors de l'annonce , Microsoft nous prévoyait cela:
[the first Internet-based platform of Next Generation Windows Services (NGWS), which will power new products and services and incorporate such features and capabilities as a new user interface, natural language processing, application development approach, schema and new file system -- all of which have been in development]

D'ores et déjà Longhorn (futur Windows) est déshabillé et a perdu son [new file system]. Pour les anciens qui ont suivi Microsoft, est-ce que cela ne fait pas un peu trop penser à l'histoire de Cairo - version Beta et mythique d'un système d'exploitation type Windows NT, censé être basé objet et qui n'a jamais existé ailleurs que chez MS.
