Microsoft's Volume Licence version of XP Pro as it doesn't need activation but if you do not work in the large scale integration end of the industry and only supply units in one's and two's or work for a small business with only a few computers you may not have heard of it.

However if you work in an area with more than 5 computers running XP Pro the vendor who is responsible for selling you the product is very remiss for not suggesting the 'Corporate Version' of XP Pro as well as Microsoft Software Assurance program for two reasons.

Firstly it saves the company money and a lot of it and

Secondly it garanties at least a 10% profit for the vendor and with the Software Assurance program an ongoing income for at least 3 years for every company that they have sold this product to. Also with the programs currently in place all of M$ software except the OS's are availabe to the workers of the company to use at home without breaking the EULA so if a company has 150 copies of a particular program they can allow 150 of their staff to use it at home.
